Front End Web Developer

Pod1 New York is searching for a talented and versatile front-end
web developer to join our team. We are looking for brilliant
individuals with the creativity, technical ability and the experience to
take our clients' brands forward. And more than this, we want people

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Building dynamic websites using XHTML, CSS, and PHP
- Converting Photoshop mock-ups of web sites into pixel-
perfect,valid XHTML/CSS
- Building dynamic Flash applications using Actionscript (2, 3 is a
plus) and XML
- Producing email and web templates
- Enhancing websites using Javascript
- Producing banners (gifs and flash)
- Cross-browser testing and implementation
- Image optimization
- Data entry


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- Experience creating complex layouts using CSS and semantic, valid
XHTML
- Experience customizing Magento and Wordpress, including writing
custom plugins or modules
- Web-specific Photoshop experience
- A strong knowledge of current web trends and resources
- A good understanding of usability and accessibility, including
coding to WAI standards
- A Good understanding of JavaScript / AJAX, including experience
jQuery
- A working knowledge of PHP and MySQL
- The ability to produce fast loading, bug free sites
- Excellent attention to detail
