Web Developer / Production Assistant

Position: Web Developer / Production Assistant
Department: Exchange
Reports to (Title): Director, User Experience

Position Summary
We are looking for a competitive, self-motivated and energetic Web
Developer / Production Assistant who is willing to think outside the
box and provide talent in creating and optimizing HTML pages and
templates for use in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate is
a team player who can exercise good judgment and enjoys working
concurrently with a multitude of projects. Please provide a portfolio
(with links of sites developed) in order to be considered for this
position.

Responsibilities
• Convert designs from Photoshop to HTML pages and
templates.
• Develop full-page design mockups from wireframes and
product brand guidelines.
• Test and troubleshoot display and rendering issues in dynamic,
web-based application on variety of browsers and systems.
• Work collaboratively with managers to design enhancements
for the site.
• Provide clear, detailed descriptions of site issues as they arise
and diagnose/repair issues in a timely manner.

Requirements
Knowledge / ability –
• Expert proficiency in HTML/XHTML – NO Dreamweaver,
Fireworks or Frontpage!
• Strong CSS, tableless design.
• Strong Photoshop.
• Ability to interpret basic requirements and create clear, simple
visual designs based on said documents.
• Experience with FTP/SFTPMust be internet savvy and on top of
new trends, news, developments in the area of focus.

Additional Skills

• Familiarity with Drupal Administration and theme
creation/management.
• Knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques.
• Familiarity with PHP and Javascript.
• Familiarity with Wordpress theming.

Education /certifications / licenses
• Bachelor in Computer Science preferred.
